Politics: Opposition Party Slams Yun Regime as "Nazi Regime" with all but fierce Gestapos

 August 7, 2024

The Democratic Party of Korea has launched a scathing attack on the Yun regime, labeling it a "Nazi regime" with all but fierce Gestapos after allegations emerged that public prosecutors have been seeking large amounts of communication data from opposition party politicians and journalists.

Park Chan-dae, acting leader of the Democratic Party of Korea, condemned the regime's actions as "illegal political surveillance" and accused them of being "blinded by their desire to suppress the people and the opposition party."

Park Chan-dae, acting president and leader of the Democratic Party of Korea, speaks during a meeting of the Supreme Council at the National Assembly on Friday

"It's not enough that they've silenced the people and staged a coup to take control of the broadcasting media, but now they're openly engaging in Nazi Gestapo's atrocities," Park said. "They've gone too far this time."

Park also criticized the timing of the telecommunications data inspections, which coincided with the hospitalization of opposition party leader Lee Jae-Myung after an attempted assassination.

"This is a tyrannical regime that even dictators like Park Chung-hee and Park Chung-hwan would be tongue-tied about," Park said.

Park also pointed out the hypocrisy of President Yoon's regime, which has been accused of using Nazi Gestapo tactics despite Yoon's previous criticism of such methods.

"President Yoon said that illegal inspections on people's communication data are for the Gestapo when he was a presidential candidate," Park said. "If that's true, then Yoon's regime is a Nazi regime run all by the Gestapo."

Hwang Woon-ha of the Fatherland Innovation Party also weighed in on the issue, questioning whether the prosecutors who searched thousands of people's communication data had also investigated Kim Gun-hee's communication data for her alleged stock price manipulation and luxury bag cases.

"The people are wondering whether the prosecutors who retaliate with their investigative powers and pick on the powerless and harass them terribly are a criminal organization that is more than thugs or the Seocho-dong escort service of Kim Gun-hee and her husband," Hwang said.

In light of these serious allegations, the democratic community of South Korea must take immediate action to protect the rights and freedoms of the people. Here are some steps that can be taken:

1. Condemn the Yun regime's actions: The democratic community must strongly condemn the Yun regime's use of Nazi Gestapo tactics and demand an immediate end to these practices.

2. Investigate the allegations: An independent investigation should be launched to investigate the allegations of illegal surveillance and harassment of opposition politicians and journalists.

3. Protect the rights of the people: The democratic community must work to protect the rights and freedoms of the people, including the right to free speech, assembly, and association.

4. Support the opposition party: The democratic community of South Korea should support the opposition party in its efforts to hold the Yun regime accountable for its actions.

5. Demand accountability: The democratic community must demand accountability from the Yun regime for its actions and ensure that those responsible are held accountable.

By taking these steps, the democratic community of South Korea can help to protect the rights and freedoms of the people and ensure that the Yun regime is held accountable for its actions.
